About Us

We are a multi-site community church, located in Bedford town centre and Northampton in the UK. We also have planted churches both in the Caribbean and Africa.  The Miracle Church is a multicultural, multi-generational church, where all nationalities, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, and age are welcomed and embraced. We exist to bring people together to love and to serve God; through His Word (Bible), through worship and prayer; and to become empowered to live exhilarating, fulfilled lives in God.

We also take this empowerment into the community through our Outreach Ministries; in the hospitals, care homes, prisons, street ministry, house groups and many more.  Most of all, we encourage you to establish a personal relationship with God and discover the significance of living a Christ-centred life. We pray that you live a life filled with hope and joy and above all, God’s greatest – Salvation.

You are invited to join us every Sunday, at any of our branches, for exuberant praise and Christ-centred worship of God. We are excited about what God is doing in our Church and our community!

Core Values

The Gospel

Jesus said that we are to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation”. The preaching of the life-changing gospel, the word of God, is one of the central pillars of Miracle Church.

Praying

Prayer is a priority in the life of the church. Without it, nothing can be accomplished.

Training

We are committed to training up a people of godly character and equipping them to do what God has called them to.

Evangelising

We are called to take the Gospel to the lost, both at home and abroad. We are committed to using all available means to reach the unreachable and to spread the good news of God’s love and hope of salvation.

Giving

Christ gave everything for us. At Miracle Church, we delight to give our time, talents, our tithes and offerings to the advancement of His kingdom.

Serving

Jesus came not to be served but to serve. At Miracle Church, we want to serve the purposes of God and to serve each other and the community.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe in the Holy Bible, the inspired Word of God. It is a sufficient guide for all things necessary to salvation. We believe that the Word of God is the supreme and final authority in faith and all life matters and emphasises that no doctrine can be true or essential if it does not find a place in this Word.

The Trinity

THE FATHER
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Author and Creator of all things. He is the perfect example for all earthly fathers. He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (everywhere). He is a big God but at the same time is a personal God who knows each person’s every need. He is just, and fair, absolute in holiness, full of love and easy to forgive.

THE SON
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Second person in the Godhead of the Trinity. He is the “Only Begotten” of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life in obedience to the Father. We believe that Jesus Christ, through His sacrifice on the cross, died in place of us sinners. He bore God’s punishment for our sins and by his blood, we are redeemed and reconciled with God. We believe he died, rose again and ascended into heaven where he intercedes for his people.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, proceeds from the Father and the Son. He is co-equal in power with the Father and the Son. He reveals and offers God’s plan of salvation to this present age. He convicts sinners to the presence of God, imparts spiritual life and gives a true understanding of the Scriptures. Every Christian believer is indwelled with the Holy Spirit, he brings assurance of salvation and produces increase likeness to Christ in the life of the believer. He equips and empowers believers with spiritual gifts for worship and to become more effective witnesses for service in the world.

Salvation

We believe that eternal salvation is solely the gift of God. Christ was sacrificed on the cross for the atonement of our sins. He died in our place, paying the price for our sin so reconciling us with God. We believe that all who sincerely repent; turn from their sinful ways; believe the good news of who Jesus Christ is and what he has done for us on the cross; receive Jesus Christ into their life as their Saviour and become born again of the Holy Spirit, would receive Salvation and become sons and daughters of God.

Water Baptism

Baptism means to dip, submerge or cleanse by washing. When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, the Good News that Jesus Christ died to take away our sins, and He rose from the dead to give us a new power to live the way God intended, you have received salvation, you are ‘born again’.
The next step in becoming a Christian, a follower of Christ is water baptism. It is a public declaration that an individual has repented of their sins, received salvation, and now come to faith in Jesus Christ. Water baptism is the totally immersion of the believer in water. It symbolizes the washing away of our sins, burying our old life and the things of the past in the water, and rising into a new life and the family of God.

Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper is taken in remembrance of what Christ has done for us through His suffering and death on the cross. The bread symbolizes His body that was broken for us and the wine symbolizes the blood He shed for us.

Marriage

We are living in a world of changing times. In these changes, we see that the definition of marriage is also evolving to keep up with the world’s culture. However, we at Miracle believe that it is God alone who has the ultimate authority to prescribe and describe the marital relationship. Keeping with this understanding, we will only recognize marriages that meet the biblical definition: a covenant relationship between one gender-normative man and one gender-normative woman. The pastors, ministry team of Miracle church will only participate in weddings and officiate marriages that meet this definition, and the facilities will only host marriage ceremonies that meet this definition.
Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:1-9; Mark 10:1-12 Ephesians 5:25-33; Romans 1:26-28

Justification and Regeneration

To justify is to declare righteous, to make one right with God. God declares those who receive Jesus Christ to be righteous. Another word for regeneration is “rebirth” or “born again”. The rebirth is heavenly and holy and results in us being made “alive” spiritually. The man by nature is a sinner, born in sin and needs to be reborn; sanctified and washed from his sins by the blood of Jesus Christ. After confessing and turning from his sin and believing in the Lord Jesus, man is justified by the grace freely given by God. The justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, a real experience at or subsequent to receiving salvation. It is scripturally evident by speaking in tongues and by the manifestations of the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Baptism prepares the believer to do God’s work.

Second Coming

We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We believe that he will return to earth in person to cast judgement on the world in righteousness, where the wicked and unbelievers will be sent to eternal punishment and the righteous will be welcomed into a life of eternal joy, in fellowship with God. We believe that Christ will establish a new heaven and a new earth and death, sickness, suffering, pain and sorrow will be no more.

Heaven and Hell

We believe that heaven and hell are real. We believe that the spirit man lives on even after death and that we will all be raised from the dead to face the judgement seat of God. Each person must stand before God in the Final Judgement and give an account of all his deeds to which he will be assigned to one or the other: Heaven, a holy place where God dwells; Hell, a place of eternal punishment for those who do not believe in Jesus Christ.
